Bellows- (Rain Gutter Regatta)
Description: Tied of Cub Scouts passing out during your Rain Gutter Regatta? Then this project might be
just what you need. Turn a couple of boards, some thumb tacks and a piece of rubber pond liner into a
functioning bellows. The bellows is also a display stand after the race.

Alka-Seltzer Rockets
Description: Using card stock, tape, a 35mm film canister, and an Alka-Seltzer tablet you can construct a rocket that is safe
for all ages yet can shoot up to 12 feet in the air.

Giant Robot Gripper Hand
Description: This project is a "garbage picker" tool that resembles a robot hand. It is constructed with some PVC tubing, a length of steel
pallet strapping, a couple of rivets and a rubber band. The gripper can be quickly constructed leaving plenty of time to "Scout for Trash".

Trebuchet
Description: This project is not for the faint of heart. The assembly of the Trebuchet is not that difficult but the
preparation is time intensive. Be prepared to make a lot of saw dust prepping all of the parts required for this project.

The Hand of Fate - Electricity Game
Description: This is a take off of the old "complete the circuit" game. We used an easy built jig to bend a wire into the shape of a
hand and added some batteries and a small pizo electric buzzer. A great learning tool for simple circuits.

Mouse Trap Model Car
Description: This car uses the spring action of a mouse trap to propel it across the floor. We let the kids use a drill press, equipped with a hole saw
to make the wheels, a bench mounted belt sander and jig saw for the frame. (under parental supervision of course!)

CNC Paper Weight
Description: This project was not so much about the final product, but about the process. We followed the modern manufacturing process from Computer Design to
CNC Machining Center. A great project if you have access to a modern machine shop.

Progress Towards Rank Badge- Leather
Description: The official "Progress Towards Rank Badges" were re-called by the B.S.A. because of lead paint. Scouts are always resourceful,
so we decided to build our own. This is the all leather version of the badge. An easy first meeting project.

Cub Powered Go-Kart (Cub Mobile)
Description: This is our version of the "Cub Mobile". The prep work for this project is time consuming. We broke the boys into groups of 2 or three
and then divided the assembly tacks among them.
